Rossi Racing owns horses stabled at
Philadelphia Park in Bensalem, PA. Horses there are
conditioned by expert horseman Juan Carlos Guerrero. Carlos has
many years of experience in the horse racing industry. His
horses primarily run at Philadelphia Park but he does ship to New York, Delaware
and Maryland as well.
Carlos won the
Philadelphia Park award for Best Claim in 2005 with Max West.
The now 7-year old gray gelding was claimed for $6,250 in January of
2005 and went on to win 5 races in 14 starts for Carlos earning
$72,000 while finishing in the money 8 times for an impressive 57%. Max West
also set
the track record at Philadelphia for 5 furlongs on the turf
going a blazing 55.91 in October of 2005. In 2006, the
West by West turf specialist won the $100,000 Turf Monster
Handicap at Philadelphia Park on May 29.
Carlos claimed Lei Diavalo in July
of 2006 for $5,000 and the 4 year old Abaginone filly went on to
visit the winner's circle 3 times in her next 7 starts earning close to $40,000
for Rossi Racing. After winning two lifetime claiming races in
2006, Lei Diavalo finished 2nd in the first level allowance race and
won the same race a month later in February of 2007.
Rossi Racing's success with Carlos
continued as they claimed a 5 year old gelding named Loquacious Lover
on 5/26/07 for $10,000. Loquacious went on to finish 2nd in an
allowance race, then win the allowance race in his next start.
Then, one week later he finished 2nd getting beat by a head in a
second level allowance race. In a span of five weeks, Loquacious
Lover has a win and two seconds earning Rossi Racing $30,000.
Not bad.
